I had to be finger-printed this week due to legalities in the sensitive material that I am exposed to at work. The lady used a machine that scanned my prints. She grabbed my hand and told me that I cannot do this because she would have to rotate each finger while I allowed her. I had to relax and ooh and ah as if impressed... ok I was somewhat impressed. She electronically sent my finger prints to a federal establishment. Anyway, as usual and in the way God has programmed my thinking, I used this experience in a spiritual analogy. Our prints are unique, right? No one has the same finger prints as you or I . Not twins, not clones (that is if any are walking around). Amazing that God has made us all so unique and different than anyone else. God grabs us, we let go. He rotates us in Jesus and His sacrifice and then sends the information to the Lamb's Book of Life. The significance is God grabbing us, our letting go, and then allowing Him to do the rest. Nothing happens if this doesn't happen. The purpose of everything that exists as we know it is whether or not our names get in the Lamb's Book of Life. That is why God has done all that He has done. If you ever ask yourself why am I here or what good am I? The answer is simply God desired it and He saw value in you. Questions: Have you developed the common-sense to let God "do the rest" in your life? When did you finally get there? Are you able to see the difference that your born-again status has had in those around you? How? Who have you affected most of all? What happened? Finally! Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt why God put you here? How can you be sure?

Questions: Have you developed the common-sense to let God "do the rest" in your life? When did you finally get there? Two and a half years ago, when I learned I was pregnant. (i really is a miracle, as I was told from 18 y/o it was Impossible! During my pregnancy God revealed Himself to me, after the struggle that I had gone through. He used the u/s to do it. When I went they could not find baby, so the form in my womb was dark and void. I drove home wondering if I was just imagining this when God reminded me of Genesis: The earth was dark and without void. I went back for the 2nd u/s an there on the picture it looked like a little star, but I was still new to this and concerned as God reminded me: And the Lord said Let ther be light! (as we should all be a part and a light to this world for Him) and He saw that the light was good! He did this throughout my whole pregnancy, to remind me, because of what I had gone through previously. I felt totally blessed! that He would take the time to give me a reminder of who He is. quote:
Are you able to see the difference that your born-again status has had in those around you? How? Who have you affected most of all? What happened? I know the use the hospital a lot, but when I worked there it was impossible to escape when you are are Christian. I never told anyone I was, but I had an impact on the patients and likewise. I actually have 3 memoirable moments and I will try to keep them brief. #1 I offered to drive a pt.s (patient's) husband to his drs appointment while she was admitted and she exclaimed, You are a Christian aren't you?! #2 I use to make gifts for them for Christmas and this one incorrigible pt. I did not want to give one to the Lord gentle nudged me into doing it, so when I did the man lit up like a Christmas tree and exclaimed, For me! His nasty attitude disappeared (but he blew my number and told on me! I did this in secret) #3 I had met a previous pt. who was now visiting her husband, as she put it, it was his turn, remembered the gift I had made and said, Everytime she used it, she said a prayer for me. quote:
Finally! Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt why God put you here? How can you be sure? I'm not totally sure and whole heartily believe He has a plan for me, but I know without a shadow of a doubt right now this moment, He has called me to be a good mother to my 2 1/2 y/o son Jacob. Children are a blessing from God and they are a great responsibility, we are to train them as a child, so that if someday they stray, they will find their way back to God. Because we gave them this fingerprint towards Him. So I hope I did not make it too long, but this is what I can share with you, Blessing & His Love I usually have trouble reading extremely long posts (in other words, I don't read them) but I want to ask that you not post short replies here and that you really give some thought to this topic. Make em long please. Thanks!

I love the thread title and it reminds me so much re Psalm 139. Q Have you developed the common-sense to let God "do the rest" in your life? When did you finally get there? A The Lord has allowed a situation to touch both my husband and my own life which is completely outwith our control and He has shown me that there is no point in worrying about tomorrow today when there is not a thing we can do to change events which will be. The Lord showed me just very recently (within the past week) that even trying to fathom out what will happen in my mind is wrong because I cannot predict the future and it is wrong to even imagine future happenings in my mind. I am resting in the Lord and waiting upon Him to "do the rest"..... Q Are you able to see the difference that your born-again status has had in those around you? How? Who have you affected most of all? What happened? A I don't believe 'I' have personally affected anyone but I believe the Holy Spirit has used my life to point others to Him both in the past and in more recent days: One young farmer was called into the ministry as a result of sharing the Word of God at a meeting in the South of Ireland (I won't forget this - I had mothers coming up to me at the end of the service telling me off for 'calling their children' to serve God! It wasn't 'me' who was calling them as you may know but there was no point trying to explain because they were so angry); others have been brought into the Kingdom of God (including children and young teens) over the years. More recently, my husband was drawn to seek the Lord because he said he was amazed that I could remain calm in such a turbulent situation as we have been going through these past 15 months. However, I do not contribute this to me having done anything other than surrendering my life to the Lord to be used by God how He sees fit and by so doing allowing the Holy Spirit to use my life because I was willing to walk in step with the Lord. I am often reminded and humbled because if God could use Balaam's donkey to speak His Word; a giant fish to capture Jonah and bring him safely to shore; a cockerel to crow 3 times and bring Peter under conviction of sin - then he can use you and I also. I just wish we could all grasp this truth. Although it is a blessed experience to be used by God, there is nothing unusual about it at all. If we are walking in step with the Lord, I believe we can expect great things to happen. Finally! Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt why God put you here? How can you be sure? A I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God put me in this life because He loves me; because He is a gracious and merciful God; and because He desired to have fellowship with me before He even created the world (wow). I know for sure because the Holy Spirit witnesses with my spirit that this is the case.

Have you developed the common-sense to let God "do the rest" in your life? When did you finally get there? That happened about ten yrs ago. Thats when i woke up. I mean that i was looking at the world of Christians and those around me who said they were as examples. Jesus teaches the he is the way, the truth, and the light, he is the resurrection and the life, that no man can come to the father except through him. That's when i started to study who Jesus is. I say this because i realize that in the spiritual realm i am only a child in understanding. Even more child like in application. It's taken me that long to realize learning is nothing if you don't practice it. Are you able to see the difference that your born-again status has had in those around you? How? Who have you affected most of all? What happened? It's an odd thing to witness the Holy spirit working around you. Because of pride, ego, selfishness things were way out of control and there was no peace, and this in the work place. But when i let go of pride, ego ,selfisness there came over me a sense of peace, it didn't matter what others think, to rest in his peace is way more then any thing money can buy. But the results of my being obedient is that others seem to enjoy life differently, though they don't realize that the Holy spirit is working in them. That is what it's all about to get them close enough to the cross that the Lord can start to work on them. Finally! Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt why God put you here? How can you be sure? Yes, we are sowers and laborers to start with. As we learn more about being Christ like, i'm learning to understand that i will be less flesh like. That is his promise to those who are willing to listen,Yea!. I know this because he also promises he will manifest himself to those that seek him with an open heart, i know that it's my heart that must be first in application of faith for the rest of faith to grow. Because i am a child in understanding of spiritual matters or spiritual realm these things are new to me so i don't know what to expect or sometimes how to communicate what's going on, except through what Jesus teaches and promises, that he will do for us, those that love him and will listen to him, but the thing that matters is what Jesus asked Martha before Lazarus was raised, DO YOU BELIEVE?

Have you developed the common-sense to let God "do the rest" in your life?" I do not believe I could pick a day or hour when I learned to "do the rest" in my life. However through many trails God is teaching me one day at a time. My biggest problem is that I needed and still need to learn to trust Him daily concerning the events of everyday life. I am kind of programmed to be a person that likes to see the beginning from the end at once. Prov.3:5-7 are verses that I still need to learn to live by so that God can "do the rest" in my life. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil". Are you able to see the difference that your born-again status has had in those around you? Maybe I should re-word this question; Have others been able to see the difference my born-again status has had around them? My prayer is that people will not ever see me- but only Jesus in me. Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt why God put you here? God put me here in order to have fellowship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ, and to glorify His name. Three verses of Scripture come to mind as to the reason God still has me here. -I need to live for His glory in all I do every day as 1 Cor.10:31 states. "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God". -I need to study, learn, teach and live my life in obedience to God`s written inerrant Word according to 2 Tim.2:15. "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of truth". -Then as God uses me I must seek to share God`s Word with others in fulfilment of the Great Commission given to us in Matt.28:19+20. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age". I say with Paul from 2 Cor.2:16. "And who is equal to such a task?" It is only by God`s grace that I can trust Him in fulfilling all that He has planned for me to do before He graciously takes me home to be with Him.
