I found myself just walking from class to class wondering if every person i passed was saved. Wonding how many "closet christians" there are on campus. Why do people think they have to hide it? Now, all I want to do is discover exactly how many people at my college God has touched....

This very thing was the subject of an article in this past Sunday's Dallas Morning News (it was an AP story, but, here's the link to it's appearance in another paper)... ANYWAY...it's about the growing presence of Christian-based fraternities and sororities on college campuses...and how POPULAR they are.... Not long after graduating from college, I moved to Raleigh, NC for a few years. The church I went to there had a terrific college student ministry....Primarily serving NC State, but also with a presence at the couple of the other schools in town.... I helped out with that, and was a "big brother" to many (especially the freshman guys)..... Christian students at most any college, I would think, have many opportunities to get together, serve together and share God's word with others.... here's that link.... http://www.philly.com/philly/education/20081107_ap_christianfraternitiesofferdifferentpath.html

I find the opportunities to share about God are numerous if you pay attention to the subtle opportunities that present themselves. You don't even have to be part of an organized group or sorority to have that chance...it happens all the time just by being on campus as much as I am. I attend a secular university and all it takes is a small political discussion, some little thing where someone asks me what I think about something, or didn't I think it was crazy that_______ happened. I've had chance after chance to share my views and often am asked to explain why I believe the way I do, which leads me right back to my Christian values and my relationship with Christ. I'm an older returning student, so I'm not involved in any of the sororiries or clubs, but the opportunities to share my faith in a non-preachy way are presented almost daily.
