ORIGINAL: Prairiehiker Wow, Rgod, that is wayyy cool. Isn't God awesome! I always marvel at your stories about how God leads you and at times, I feel jealous that I dont' get those experiences. THough lately, I can see how God is bringing me in situations at work where I can share my faith. We had a huge discussion about religion during our Halloween part and I got a chance to share why I beleive what I beleive. It wasn't a religious discussion, but more of a world view discussion which happened to lead to faith discussion. I'm so excited about how God is bringing about situations for you to share your faith. I don't think it is a coincidence at all that He is also placing it in your spirit to study apologetics and more theology at this time and it is exciting to see how He is using that to bless your co-workers (even if you don't necessarily see any conversions). I believe that, by His precious Spirit, that God has orchestrated and will continue to orchestrate all sorts of experiences in your life where you'll be able to lift Him up and where you'll see His hand on your life. I'm excited about what God has next for you.

I thank God for my son. Even when he's angry, even when he's difficult, even when he's hurting and I can't 'make it better,' his life is so beautiful to me. I am grateful for the blessing of being his mother. Belle

I'm thankful that I've got one ship (of three) done!!! If I can get the second one done this week I can stay home until December!!! I'm thankful that my daughter is doing OK with the trips. And I'm very thankful that she loves me so much that she doesn't want me to go on any of them.

Not sure where would be the most appropriate place to post this, so I chose this one... As most of you know, I was married for 18 years and 18 days to my best friend, and then God took him Home through a hit-and-run accident. Last week his grandmother died. A few days later I recieved an email from his mother, reporting that at the funeral had been one of ddh's cousins as well as a man that had worked with him. When the man that had worked with him learned that the cousin was related to ddh, he STOOD and shook his hand in honor of my ddh. He is still working at the same job, and said that a lot of the reforms my ddh had suggested before he died were being implemented, and that he personally still misses him (this is 10 years later, folks). I am thankful that God honored me with this knowledge. I am thankful that God allowed me to be married to this amazing man. I am thankful that God has been glorified through his life and his death. And I am thankful for the reminder that what we do and who we are has the potential to outlive us and continue bringing glory to God. shallbe

I got a little teary eyed reading it. Your husband sounds like he was an absolutely wonderful man and I'm so glad to see that God allowed you to see the impact that he made with his life.

Today, I thank God that He is so patient with me. Sometimes He has to show me the same thing over and over and over again until it finally sinks in. I'm also thankful for my friends, most especially the ones who are walking with me through both my grief and the changes God is making in me. It takes a certain depth of character and generosity of spirit to walk side-by-side with me just now.

Today I'm thankful to be living in a democracy where there is a system of checks and balances. It is not a perfect system and not a perfect country, but we still enjoy freedoms that others don't... and we still have a voice.

Tonight I am thankful to the AWEsome God we serve for so many different things. Thankful to Him for having His hand in my life and opening so many doors of opportunity so quickly. Thankful for my family and friends. Thankful for being blessed to serve in the Angel Tree program. Thankful to see a smile on the face of a child....

Today I am thankful for my small group. For the friendship, fellowship, and prayers of my brothers and sisters in Christ. For the joy that we experience when we gather together, for the opportunity to see their children grow alongside my child, for the spiritual growth we experience when we work out life's problems together before God.

I'm thankful for... a second small job to help me through the end of this strange year of exacting job openings and no one willing to take on and train; some wonderful and even hilarious sisters and brothers in Christ in these forums during these times too- there's therapy in the keys and the screen, just remember to blink lots; some mean hurts being reported to be leaving some of these people, and the awesome healing of the Lord making things new; the one and only Alabama Crimson Tide, #1 right now, baby; and, can you believe it, One thousand posts and the counter still works! Yea administrators, moderators, and very important Bookmark Volunteers! I couldn't have done it without y'all. God bless! OneJohn410
