For people who try to help you. That a friend got custody of her kids in spite of a really messy situation.

I'm thankful for how my whole day went. It was perfect. I got to sleep in, spent some time alone reading at my favourite cafe, visited some old friends, got to do some shopping for my daughter, and I picked up my daughter who was so happy to have spent some time with her cousins. I'm thankful that there's some chapters in the book that I'm reading that felt like it was directly written for me. Now, I'm just ready to veg. Not until after I run though.

The electricity coming back on so that I could finish sending out the Christmas card list for the community. (We had a power outage in the midst of me sending the list).

Hooray for your power coming back on! I only live 3 miles from my sister and her power is out but I haven't lost mine.

I'm thankful for the protection God provided my sister and niece as they were driving down the road and the back tire flew off. The vehicle had been in the shop and apparently they forgot to put the lug nuts back on. Also thankful there were no other vehicles around. There was a lot of force when the tire went flying off and if it had hit another vehicle it could have caused some great harm.

I'm thankful to the Lord for a lot of little things today. I'm also thankful for my co-workers. I was feeling really low today - for the whole day - which is unusual for me. I just couldn't shake it. Well, this guy noticed and gave me a very simple message. It just blessed me so much. I've always been the one on the other end - I see people hurting and then end up talking and listening to them, but am rarely on the receiving end. I just wanted to crawl into his arms and rest there for a while. Actually, I could have easily done that. But it wouldn't have been proper, so I just thanked him and let the Lord minister to me. Also another co-worker started talking to me, ministering to me on another issue. She had such beautiful things to say to me - I just appreciated it so much. Everyone was so tender to me today - even people I don't normally talk with. I'm thankful to the Lord, it just touched my heart. I'm also thankful for my aunt who has arranged some family-type things to do when I visit her this weekend. She didn't have to do that - I think that is extremely thoughtful of her. I'm also thankful for google earth - I've seen the streets where I'll be going online, so I'll recognize it and won't look too much like a tourist. I'm also thankful for stretchy boots. I've never been able to wear boots that come up to the knee because since my legs are short, the thicker part of my calves hit the wrong part of the boot. I could never zip them up properly. However ... today I took a chance tried one of those "stretchy" boots that are pleather. I wouldn't normally try it on, but thought - why not. Well, it fit. First time in my life. I was so excited because NOW I can wear a skirt with a long boot (yay!).

I'm thankful for the results of the mole removal. All is good. So happy it wasn't going to turn evil on me. And the doc was pleased with the healing of the removal.

I am thankful to the Lord for giving me the courage to tell a friend some things he needed to hear. Currently he isn't speaking with me, but, I think he actually listened so in that I am thankful. <sigh>

I'm thankful for a caring doctor and for the wisdom he's been given to try other treatments first and keep surgery as a last option. I'm thankful he's not a love-to-cut-doctor
