I see my Gandalf has been abducted by the Balrog again... getting tired of having to fetch him from the depths of Kazahd-Harddrive.

Bad Gandalf! Stay!

Changing horses:

Music is powerful stuff. I was driving down the highway and tuned into an oldies station. BAM! I was instantly 19 again, in the Navy less than 5 months, and back in Key West.

Smells will do that sometimes, but it's usually to a much earler age.

yes, and i've noticed my steps are slower these days, so steps are actually a project in my life. not that there is a minimum speed to maintain, but sometimes you know walking is the point of the day

Bless your heart, MrsJavaJane! Getting out of bed can be a major accomplishment. We should all pat ourselves on the back if we made it today. Those kids should be grateful, they're why I bother, that early anyway. Anythink else I do is just gravy.

We used to wait until the last possible minute to do our taxes, but now that we have Turbo Tax, my husband actually enjoys doing it. He also does my mother's for her. He's such a gem.

Speaking of taxes...

Please love and worship my new "mood ring" Gandalf avatar. He's currently had enough.

This year I tried paying my taxes with a smile.

The IRS once again demanded cash instead.

Interesting... John your avatar isn't showing up on my PC tonight for some reason.

It is indeed interesting... I see it fine. Very odd stuff this internet.

When I was running my church's website back in the day, I was always intrigued that the my church was in western Maryland, I was editing from Baltimore, the hosting servers were in downtown Baltimore, and the hosting service BUSINESS was in Renslap Alabama.

Even though I know how it works, and it makes perfect sense, whenever I visit a website I "feel" like I am getting the site from at least the same town that the business is located in.

It's kind of like the feeling I got when I called the tech help for my computer, and realized that I was talking to the guy from his living room at his house... they just patch the calls to his home. It was kind of gross, actually.

And cell phones... have you ever made a local call your neighbor on their cell phone, only to have them say that they are in Arizona visiting family?

And what is UP with those little inserts in magazines? ....

With Read's Digest, it's more like a little magazine inserted around the magazine articles.

Obviously you aren't into horse racing terminology. You apparently have nothing useful to do with your extra cash.

Eventually the avatar situation should be under control. Judii1 actually lost her avatar, but it was a cat, so she figures it may turn up again in the morning. She has temporary replaced it with a pig.

After a discussion about fatal wrecks, the guy who towed our car yesterday after my son's wreck (no one was hurt, the Lord be praised, the car may be totalled though) said he hopes he hasn't done anything bad enough to put him in "place B" after he dies. Caught off-guard, I panicked and said, "we can pray that you don't" end up there. Then someone else walked up and we took the opportunity to leave. Doh!

So please join me in praying at least, that he will find the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
