Huh? Spunky? Me? Awww, how sweet! Hey back at ya, sweet Rose! Two phone lines, and two answering machines. Wow! I'm guessing since I don't call casual acquaintances for a recipe on how to prepare food, that in your case I was somehow given your private number. It's starting to be a little bit of an obnoxious reason for calling someone, but, let me tell you foks, spinach dip is quite tasty on a corn chip scoop. Make it with a special recipe if you have allergies. I highly recommend it. I'm buying stock in spinach growers, btw. Rose, I'd either be in a super plan-ahead 'mode', or knowing how busy you can be, wouldn't bother you. I can tell you are very conscientious about phone calling, and to me that's a real plus in a busy woman's life. Thanks for sharing! (Note to self: If you really like someone's recipe for something they have shared with you in the past, or think they may have a great one, ask for it three to four days in advance, and maybe make a half-recipe for the giver as a thank you, keeping the other half for yourself. ... Right! Make a double recipe, take half of it, then share half of what's left with the donor.) (P.S. to note: Unless it costs $20 to make the one to begin with. )

Hi WhiteRoseBlessings and Spunky-gal, Y'know, I realized this twice noted comment from the start and just thought I'd have some fun with it. I always considered things in this section to be mostly between whoever would respond and myself, and not like we were all sitting around a table waiting turns. You've compelled me to come to my own defense that I'm not an ignorant imbecile, because obviously my not responding will encourage others to think they could not add on to this. Why? Becase after all that typing, I obviously don't really care about the thread and am ignorantly sarcastic to boot. I look to seeing your replies, so this can be cleared up. You have taken my post off-topic and want more communication from me. Ok. You are reading it. Totally uncalled for. I wouldn't give you the same treatment, and certainly wouldn't echo it once I saw it. It's a unique post from a unique guy, sister dude, not some kind of joke. thanks, OneJohn410 quote:

Generally, the only time I let my calls go to voice mail is if I'm at work, at church, in a meeting, or an in depth convo with a friend. And I make sure to call back ASAP. The only other reason is that I might not recognize the number. Since I only have a cell phone, if for some reason I'm upset and do not want to talk, I will at least text and explain that much, and let the person know I will call back when I have become human again. If calls are not being returned for more than 24 hours...forget her and move on. She's inconsiderate and you deserve better.

I do not know about others, but my answering machine is so that I DON'T miss your call because I am outside, working or otherwise unavailable. My cell phone is on all the time even when it is in my truck at work because I am not allowed to take it in...so that I have a record if you called and I can call you back. And I will call back. If I'm hurt and don't want to talk to you for a while, I'll tell you I'm hurt and I don't want to talk to you for a while. If I want to to fall off the face of the Earth, get lost in space, or otherwise remove yourself from my life, I'll tell you that too. And if I got angry and didn't call back when I should have, when I calm down, I will call back and apologize. If you get angry because I did not return your call promptly and think that I was ignoring you and call and tell me so, I'll tell you why I didn't call...

Thanks, Hisprincess59, Sometimes I just feel like playing my answering machine message to her answering machine- that at least the machines could have some social time. I'm pretty sure I'd make a mental note with you, that you do not have a 'land line', and be sensitive as to when I was calling and where you might be. OneJohn410

Hi Creationtalk, I know what you were meaning, yet I promise you if you called and said you wanted to fall or disappear off the face of the earth, I would not help you figure out how- and that's no matter how bad you felt about not calling me back. You'd be too special to me and others I knew who knew you to let you do that, y'know? I knew you knew. Thanks for sharing with me. OneJohn410
